Applauses for Santa Cecilia
Today the third concert at the airport for the young talents of the National Academy

Today the third concert for young talents took place at the airport, after the opening concert held the past 16 December by Antonio Pappano, Musical Director of the National Academy of Santa Cecilia, with Carlo Maria Parazzoli as first violin, as part of the project "Santa Cecilia on the fly" (Santa Cecilia al volo).

"It has been a beautiful experience. I had great fun", said Leonardo Pierdomenico, 23 years old, member of the Academy for the past year, winner of the "Premio Venezia" competition, which enabled him to play in the past at La Fenice Theatre and for the audience of the Rai 3 TV channel.

"It is not easy to find the right concentration even in a silent place, let alone in an airport, but, added the young pianist, it helped me a lot because I managed to immerse myself in the music all the same without getting distracted by all the rest. In the half hour of the concert, it was just me, the piano and the notes of Chopin's and Liszt's music. Yes, I am really satisfied with how it went. It is an experience that will undoubtedly be useful to me again".

Born from an agreement between the Aeroporti di Roma managing company and the National Academy of Santa Cecilia, the initiative has once more aroused the interest and delight of passengers in transit, who applauded the young pianist Leonardo Pierdomenico for a long time.
