Fiumicino, October 9 2015 - The "Itinerant Exhibition," which are concerts by young pianists, start today at the Leonardo da Vinci airport. The new project, conducted by ADR, was inspired by an idea called Street Pianos, which was based at St. Pancras Station in London. In this case, four grand pianos were placed beyond the security gates and near the boarding Terminals 1 and 3. The instruments are freely available to all travellers who can play them and permit their "concert" to be transmitted on the ADR social networking platforms. The initiative has been a great success and passengers were pleasantly surprised by this news. Many of them, Italian and foreign, have provided small musical performances while waiting to board.
Airport Pianos is part of the philosophy of having a "friendly" airport full of services and opportunities to make a more pleasant travel experience. In other words, a stopover which is suitable for passengers with an airport infrastructure seen as a place of transit but also an important part of the travel experience.
