The Director of the National Academy of Santa Cecilia, Antonio Pappano, performed an exceptional concert in one of the airport's most symbolic locations, between the statue of the Vitruvian Man and the historic stained glass signed by the architect Morandi. Many passengers were involved and enchanted by the piano performance which took place a few metres away from the check-in desks.

The weighting of the airline Alitalia, in terms of aeronautical revenues, on ADR has decreased considerably in recent years and currently has a weighting of just 29%. However, as regards Fiumicino's passenger traffic, in the first quarter of 2018, this has grown by +2.5% compared with the same period the previous year. International traffic has specifically recorded an increase of + 7% and long-haul traffic is up by +17.9%. This is according to ADR on the data cited today regarding Fiumicino by the President of ENAC.
