Alongside the Italian Civil Aviation Authority (ENAC) and ENAV, the companies are pushing for sustainable innovation in aviation.

Enel X and Aeroporti di Roma will design an innovative storage system that will allow, through used electric vehicle batteries, for the storage of excess energy produced by a solar plant, which can cover evening energy demand peaks at the airport and provide services to the network . The project has attracted European funding from the Innovation Fund and will drastically reduce emissions at Italy's largest airport hub, improving the sustainability of the battery supply chain

Green pass

Aeroporti di Roma would like to inform you that from the 1st September coming, based on Italian Legislative Decree no. 111 of 6 August 2021, in order to travel by air on all flights departing from or arriving at Italian airports, it is compulsory to have a Green pass (*) or equivalent certificates. Please note that, according to the regulations in force, it is the airlines’ responsibility to carry out the Green pass checks in order for passengers to access their transport services.
