Boarding areas E and F

The new boarding areas E and F in “Leonardo da Vinci Airport” (“Forecourt” and “Pier C” in accordance with the naming system adopted at the time) are being realized. The complex is oriented toward greater functionality and harmony of form. It is in line with the works at major international airports and will be composed of two buildings with an overall surface area of 75,200 square metres.

The first building (Boarding Area E) is a forecourt which will extend the existing Terminal 3, directly connected to the pier (Boarding Area F) so that the two buildings can accomodate a total of 5 million passengers a year. The new Boarding Area F, 200 metres long and 40 metres wide, will be equipped with a new control and automatic sorting of checked baggage system in the basement.

The complex will have 8 gates for remote boarding in the forecourt and another 14 gates served by boarding bridges on the pier.
The intervention will include spaces for shopping areas, services, catering and airline lounges. The construction works, in large part funded by ADR, will be carried out by an A.T.I. (temporary association of companies) supervised by Cimolai S.p.A.

The supervision of the construction works will be carried out by the subsidiary ADR Engineering.
