Aeroporti di Roma, the private company that manages and operates Rome airports, sponsors the event organised by AeCI to celebrate its 100-year anniversary. Founded in 1911, AeCI is a Sports Federation operating in the aeronautical sports sector in Italy, which also performs educational activities in ultra-light aviation.

ADR supports this projects that falls within the broader range of events sponsored and organised for the 50th anniversary of the Leonardo da Vinci airport.  In this year ADR has recorded so far a total traffic volume of about 28.5 million passengers, with a 5% increase against the same period of last year.  This result has been achieved also thanks to the numerous destinations to and from Rome, which now total 210, and to the 110 carriers operating in both airports.  With about 170 stores and the presence of premium "made in Italy" brands, ADR is also leader in the airport retail sector and directly manages the duty free stores characterised by high quality, large product offering and affordable prices.

To celebrate its 100th anniversary, AeCI has organised an event that will take place on  2, 3 and 4 September in Rome, at Circo Massimo, envisioning, among miscellaneous activities, the preparation of Aerostatic Laboratories and the organisation of numerous inauguration courses, like the one dedicated to parachuting/skydiving and gliding.

With the same spirit that distinguishes its routine work in the two Rome airports - the gateway to the city of Rome - Aeroporti di Roma wishes to support and foster sports activities enhancing the tradition of Rome as international crossroad.
