As of this year Aeroporti di Roma will be joining forces with Telethon to support scientific research. The agreement signed by Luca Cordero di Montezemolo, Chairman of the Foundation, and Fabrizio Palenzona, Chairman of ADR, sanctions a cooperation that started in the summer with the promotion of "Il resto a Telethon", advertised in shops directly managed by ADR.

Rome Fiumicino airport is the first Italian airport to support the "Travel safe" campaign promoted by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, which through posters affixed at Leonardo da Vinci airport invites Italian nationals temporarily travelling abroad to register with "Dove siamo nel Mondo", to help the Crisis Unit plan rapid rescue operations.

The Port of Trajan, the 'insulae', the Castle of Julius II: Ostia prides itself on a unique and extremely interesting heritage. Hence, the archaeological heritage office has organized extended opening hours, offering guided and theme-based tours with a view to promote knowledge of these places, inviting citizens and tourists alike to visit the most important sites, starting from the Port of Trajan.

The "remote-controlled falcon" was successfully tested in the Rome Fiumicino airport area, under the supervision of its manufacturing company. The device was tested on the 34L runway and seagulls, which normally stop there, flew away and never came back for the rest of the day.
