Fiumicino, 27 April 2023 - Increasingly integrated and sustainable mobility, focusing on customer experience, innovation and environmental awareness. This is the aim of the intermodality project promoted by Aeroporti di Roma, ITA Airways and Trenitalia, who, together, have today developed a new 'train + aeroplane' product that allows passengers to simplify their travel experience by combining rail and air travel with a combined ticket and check - in already at the station at the dedicated counters at Leonardo da Vinci Airport.

The Aeroporti di Roma Shareholders' Meeting today unanimously approved the Financial Statements as at 31 December 2022. Consolidated net income was €45,1million. At the same time, the shareholders appointed AdR’s new Board of Directors for the three-year period 2023-2025.

A hi-tech revolution at Fiumicino Airport where security checks before boarding are even quicker and easier at Terminal 1. In fact, thanks to a technology that performs a real 'CT scan', passengers will be able to carry liquids even larger than 100ml in their hand luggage, as well as computers, tablets and mobile phones without having to take them out and separate them from their suitcase. The new technology, introduced last year for frequent travellers, has now been extended to all passengers departing from Terminal 1.

ADR Ventures is born, the new corporate vehicle created by Aeroporti di Roma to start Corporate Venture Capital activities. This is the first initiative of its kind in the air transport sector in Italy and is aimed at financing the development of projects in areas with high innovation potential.

An important agreement was signed between Aeroporti di Roma and the trade unions Cgil, Cisl, Uil and Ugl of Air Transport for the stabilisation of the ADR Group's operational staff. The plan involves 257 workers and is divided into permanent hirings and transformation of employment contracts from part-time to full-time.

Today in Brussels, at the European Parliament, the event "Decarbonising the aviation sector: Aeroporti di Roma presents an Italian best practice" was held, sponsored by ADR to deepen at the European level the scope of the "Pact for the Decarbonisation of Air Transport", the observatory created by the management company of the capital's airports which has the aim - also through the support from experts from the academic world - to promote and accelerate the achievement of the sector's sustainability objectives in the context of the SDGs and the 2030 Agenda, taking as a reference the goal of Net Zero Emissions by 2050.

New important international recognition for Aeroporti di Roma. Fiumicino and Ciampino airports are the first in the European Union and second in the World to have received the prestigious 'Public Health & Safety Readiness Accreditation' certification from Airports Council International (ACI), the independent association that surveys passenger satisfaction at over 350 airports worldwide, for proactive management of public health and safety. The certification, the result of a careful investigation, was also achieved thanks to compliance with the measures set out in the ACI Aviation Business Restart and Recovery guidelines and the recommendations of the ICAO Council Aviation Recovery Task Force.

Aeroporti di Roma (ADR), Atlantia, UrbanV, and the pioneer of urban air mobility (UAM), Volocopter, have successfully completed the first crewed eVTOL test flights in Italian airspace. These tests were part of a mobility ecosystem setup at Fiumicino’s Leonardo da Vinci International Airport. This is a key milestone toward the envisioned rollout of advanced air mobility (AAM) services in Rome by 2024, with the partners having initiated operations of the first fully functional vertiport in Italy.
