Aeroporti di Roma reports having prepared a plan to downsize operations at the Fiumicino and Ciampino passenger terminal.

Aeroporti di Roma reports having prepared a plan to downsize operations at the Fiumicino and Ciampino passenger terminal. The decision has become necessary due to the multiple flight cancellations to and from Italy announced by many airlines that normally operate at both Rome airports.

From Tuesday 17 March, “Leonardo da Vinci” airport's Terminal 1 has been temporarily closed. All check-in procedures, security checks and baggage reclaim procedures are carried out at Terminal 3, which remains operational.

In addition, from Saturday 14 MarchCiampino airport's passenger terminal for scheduled flights has been closed. General Aviation operations have also been moved to Rome Fiumicino airport, while activities related to State Bodies and cargo aviation have not been subjected to variations.

The passenger terminals at Fiumicino and Ciampino airports will resume normal operations as soon as the current state of emergency is over.
