The award was announced in London during the Passenger Terminal Expo (PTE) World event. “Retaining the Best Airport in Southern Europe award highlights the high level of appreciation passengers have for Rome Fiumicino Airport. Positive responses across several key survey touchpoints demonstrates the quality of the journey delivered by ADR and supports its standing among the world’s leading airports” said Edward Plaisted, CEO of Skytrax.
According to the survey, passengers gave particularly high ratings to Fiumicino Airport’s retail and food & beverage offering, as well as to its security screening processes.
