Fiumicino, 22 July 2016 – AdR would like to emphasise that the selection procedures used for awarding the commercial areas have been deemed legal by the administrative and civil judiciary.
These procedures, pre-emptively evaluated also by the Antitrust Authority, are in line with those adopted by the main Italian and European airports.
AdR intends nevertheless to further evaluate the content of Anac's provision and to consider follow-up actions.
This is AdR's statement in relation to Anac’s resolution.
Aeroporti di Roma, Company of the Atlantia Group, manages and develops the airports of Roma Fiumicino and Ciampino and undertakes other activities relating and complementary to airport management. Fiumicino operates through four passenger terminals. It is dedicated to business and leisure clients on national, international and intercontinental routes; Ciampino is mainly used by low-cost airlines, by express-couriers and for operations of the General Aviation. In 2015, the ADR airport system registered over 46 million passengers, with 240 destinations across the world reachable from Rome, thanks to around 100 airlines operating in the two airports.
