ADR: within next week the boarding area D of Terminal 3 back to normal activity
From this morning, the world-leading disaster recovery specialist Belfor is operating for the reclaiming and restoration of the areas affected by yesterday's fire. 250 flights have been operated since this morning.

 

Aeroporti di Roma communicates that, from this morning, the world leader in disaster recovery Belfor is operating in the areas affected by yesterday fire.  Belfor, whose technicians will work round-the-clock, has begun the reclaiming and recovering operations for all the area stricken by the fire and by the consequent smoke, starting from air conditioning systems.   Subsequently, the damaged structures will be removed.  This intervention will make it possible to re-open the Terminal 3 Boarding Area D to passengers within one week.  250 flights have been operated since this morning.

 

Aeroporti di Roma, a company of Gruppo Atlantia, manages the airports of Rome Fiumicino and Ciampino, and conducts other collateral activities for airport facility management. Fiumicino operates four passenger terminals. It is dedicated to business and leisure flights to and from national, international and intercontinental destinations; Ciampino is mainly dedicated to low-cost airlines, express couriers and General Aviation activities. In 2014, ADR airports system recorded around 44 million passengers, with over 230 destinations that can be reached from Rome thanks to the 100 airline operating from the two airports.
