“From 1 December, 2016, the G - H boarding areas will become E. As soon as you arrive at the airport, check your boarding pass and ask ADR personnel”. This is the message that the Rome Airport is sending to passengers travelling through the main hub of the Capital as of today concerning the name change for the two boarding areas.
The renaming will take place physically during the night between 30 November and 1 December with the replacement of the letters G and H with E on the departure boards. The replacement takes place in view of the impending opening of the new Extra Schengen boarding area, scheduled by the end of December.
As of today, and for the entire transition period, an advisory video will be broadcasted: on the information monitors at each of the airport’s check-in counters, on the monitors at the boarding gates, on the transfer flight desks, on the flight information monitors and on the monitors provided at the security checkpoints. The advisory will also be published on the website at www.adr.it and posted on the Rome Airport social media profiles.
In order to assist travellers, informative flyers will also be available at all the ADR infopoints in the airport, whereas a taskforce made up of airport staff will cover the terminals, assisting passengers and directing them to the correct boarding area.
