Fiumicino, 6 August 2015 –  Aeroporti di Roma expresses its satisfaction for the results of the operational meeting that has taken place this morning at ENAC headquarters, which saw the participation of Alitalia, Enav and the representatives of the airport managing company.  With respect to the need of an improved balancing between outgoing and incoming flights, ADR will commit to cooperating with ENAC with clearer and stricter criteria, also in view of the transfer of responsibility for such activities to the airport managing company, which will finally take place in 2017 as set forth in the specific EU directive.

Concerning the inconveniences due to operational problems in the immediate aftermath of 29 July's event, ADR further confirms that they have been totally solved.  In particular, the transfer of passengers in transit, through the use of inter-runway shuttle buses, made it possible to achieve performance levels in the mobility of passengers within Fiumicino airport that are better than those in place before the fire occurred.

Aeroporti di Roma, a company of Gruppo Atlantia, manages the airports of Rome Fiumicino and Ciampino, and conducts other collateral activities for airport facility management. Fiumicino operates four passenger terminals. It is dedicated to business and leisure flights to and from national, international and intercontinental destinations; Ciampino is mainly dedicated to low-cost airlines, express couriers and General Aviation activities. In 2014, ADR  airports system recorded around 44 million passengers, with over 230 destinations that can be reached from Rome thanks to the 100 airline operating from the two airports.
