G7: Border controls
From 10 to 30 May, border controls will temporarily be resumed for the G7 summits in Bari and Taormina. Passengers are advised to arrive at the airport early to allow for valid expatriation document checks that may be required by the Border Police.
To ensure the normal and orderly development of the G7 Summits which will be held in Bari from 11 to 13 May and in Taormina from 26 to 27 May 2017, internal border controls will resume (land, sea and air) from 00:00 on 10 May to 24:00 on 30 May 2017, following the temporary suspension of the Schengen Agreement for the free circulation of people.
ENAC has asked national and foreign airlines operating in Italy to provide information to their passengers, both on their websites and via other effective means.
Please always keep your passport to hand, or other identity document valid for expatriation, in order to facilitate the Border Police producers.
