In 2024, with the record score of an overall satisfaction of 4.61 ever registered before (with a scale from 1 to 5), Rome Fiumicino is the best European airports participating to the survey and is the only airport over 40M passengers/year, together with Singapore airport, to receive all awards categories.
Airport with the Most Dedicated Staff in Europe;
Easiest Airport Journey in Europe;
Most Enjoyable Airport in Europe;
Cleanest Airport in Europe.
For the second year in a row, Ciampino - ‘Giovan Battista Pastine’ airport was awarded as ‘Best airport in Europe with 2-5 million passengers/year’ and, for the first time, also as ‘Airport with the Most Dedicated Staff in Europe’ award. These significant awards will be celebrated during the ACI World Airport Experience Summit, which will be held in Guanghzou, China, on September 8-11, 2025.
‘Once again, this year, Fiumicino and Ciampino airports received international recognitions for the quality and the services offered to passengers. These awards are increasingly significant and not to be taken for granted, reaffirming the dedication, passion and commitment of our people – as well as the efforts of all colleagues from the companies, organizations and institutions working in synergy at our airports,’ said Marco Troncone, CEO of Aeroporti di Roma. ‘Considering the traffic forecasts for this year and beyond, we are aware that maintaining this level of quality and continuously enhancing our services requires the sustainable development of Rome Fiumicino infrastructures. Thanks to major self-financed investments already underway, we aim at competing with other major hubs in our geographical area, following clear development perspectives. This is the only way to strengthen Italy’s position as a leading global tourist destination and high-potential transit hub within the international air connectivity network.’
To celebrate the recognition from ASQ survey, Aeroporti di Roma launched a new communication campaign presenting ‘Adryx’, the new mascot of Leonardo da Vinci airport: an interstellar ambassador and an expert in quality and innovation, who lands on Earth to discover the secret of excellence. Inside the airport, passengers will be able to meet him, get exclusive gadgets and have fun with airport-themed challenges, quiz and interactive games, learning trivia and useful tips to make their travel experience even smoother.

For the first time, Ciampino Airport was also awarded, in the category of airports handling 5 to 15 million passengers.
