ADR: "LIGHTS, CAMERA, FLY!", FILM SOUNDTRACKS PLAYED LIVE FOR PASSENGERS
Music from some of the biggest national and international films will be performed by the Orchestra Italiana Cinema to entertain travellers at Fiumicino and Ciampino airports. 4 concerts already scheduled

Fiumicino, 24th October 2016 - The journey, the magic of the great capitals such as Rome and New York, the relationship between music and silent films, the uniqueness of Italy's music tradition: these are the main stages of "Lights, camera, fly!", the new initiative organised by Aeroporti di Roma in collaboration with the Auditorium della Conciliazione to entertain passengers at Fiumicino and Ciampino airports.

Starting from today, until December, the Orchestra Italiana Cinema will perform at the airport, at the boarding area of ​​Terminal 1 - Pier B, with a programme of four one-hour concerts dedicated to the soundtracks of some of the biggest national and international films. Passengers can watch the exhibition through the film images transmitted by the Terminals' HD screens of the Terminals.

The first event starts this evening at 6pm and will be dedicated to four great composers whose scores have gained international fame: Bacalov, Morricone, Piovani and Rota. The music will be performed by the maestros Gilda Buttà and Luca Pincini (piano and cello). The following events will take place during the months of November and December, at Fiumicino and Ciampino airports.

"Lights, camera, fly!" is part of ADR's initiative of providing cultural entertainment and promotion of the local area. The aim is to allow travellers at the capital's airports the chance to spend their wait before their flights in a pleasant manner, with high-quality events which promote Made in Italy. Fiumicino airport has recently been judged by its passengers as the best in Europe for the quality of the service offered (independent surveys carried out by the International association "Airport Council International").
