ADR: plan to open approach and wharf F by the end of the year confirmed
Work progress monitored daily. Contractor called in every month for a general audit

Fiumicino, 6 April 2016 -  Related to the declaration made by the Chairman of Enac, Vito Riggio, on completion of the Avant-corps/Approach and Wharf F by the end of the year, ADR confirms plans communicated that they will be opened by year end.

That schedule will be met despite the serious problems had by the contractor, Cimolai, who had to replace other Ati (temporary grouping of companies) participants for the civil and plant works.

For that reason, ADR monitors work progress daily, and once a month, with Enac, calls in the contractor for a general work scheduling audit.

Aeroporti di Roma, an Atlantia Group company, manages and develops the Roma Fiumicino and Ciampino airports and performs other activities connected and supplementary to airport management. Fiumicino operates through four passenger terminals. It is dedicated to business and leisure flyers using national, international and intercontinental routes. Ciampino is used mainly by low cost airlines, express-couriers and for General Aviation purposes. In 2015, as an airport system, ADR recorded over 46 million passengers with 240 destinations worldwide that could be reached from Roma, thanks to about 100 airlines operating in the two airports.
