Fiumicino, 25 October 2021 – In the third quarter of 2021, “Leonardo da Vinci” has been the European airport most appreciated by passengers. This was announced by ACI (Airports Council International) – the international association that independently measures, through interviews with travellers, perceived quality in over 250 airports around the world (91 in Europe). 

Fiumicino airport, with a score of 4.61 (out of a maximum of 5), ranks tops in traveller satisfaction, surpassing European airports of all sizes. The recognition refers to the summer quarter, which was characterised by a recovery in traffic volumes, albeit far from those recorded before the pandemic, and demonstrates how the travellers of "Leonardo da Vinci" have appreciated the efforts of Aeroporti di Roma in guaranteeing a quality service, even during the Covid-19 pandemic. 

The services most appreciated by the passengers of "Leonardo da Vinci" specifically include clarity of information to the public, cleanliness of the Terminals, courtesy of the staff, facilities at the airport and waiting time at security checks.

The Rome hub - since the beginning of 2017 - has consistently surpassed all major European airports in traveller appreciation. It is the result of the strategy of investments, innovations and service quality implemented in line with the broader objective of sustainable development of airport operations that will lead ADR to achieve the objectives of eliminating greenhouse gas emissions by 2030.
