Fiumicino, 27 January 2016 – Today has been inaugurated the direct flight between Rome and the city of Wenzhou, China. The connection has run by China Eastern Airlines, an important Chinese airline based in Shanghai, with two flights a week, on Wednesday and Saturday.
This new connection makes possible to fly non-stop from Rome to the main city of origin of most of the Chinese people residing in Europe and Africa. It is in fact estimated that 90% of Chinese come from this coastal area on the East China Sea.
China Eastern, present on Rome FCO from 2011 with a daily flight to Shanghai, manages the new route on an Airbus A330 aircraft that has thirty seats in business class and two hundred and four in economy.
This new flight to Wenzhou rises the frequency to thirty-two weekly flights between the Airport Leonardo da Vinci airport and Greater China.
