ADR: The LEONARDO DA VINCI AIRPORT BECOMES GOURMAND FOR A DAY
Starred Chef Pascucci and Typical Products from Lazio's Food Tradition

Fiumicino, 21 December 2015 - Chef Gianfranco Pascucci and products from Lazio were the stars of a cooking show that was held today, for the second consecutive year, on the Terrazza Roma, on the mezzanine floor of Terminal 3 - departures area - of the Leonardo da Vinci Airport. Passengers who were present sampled an exceptional menu, made up of traditional delicacies from Lazio prepared by Pascucci, who received his prestigious Michelin star in 2012 thanks to product research and sophisticated food preparation techniques.

This authentic culinary journey "Made in Lazio" is a combination of imagination and tradition, simplicity and sophistication. It was made possible by the collaboration with ARSIAL, the Regional Agency for the development and innovation of agriculture in the region of Lazio that, with its agricultural policy of qualification and valorisation of agricultural and agro-industrial production, promotes the territory’s excellent food all over the world.

Clean, sustainable agriculture is the goal for the project Terre dell’Oasi, promoted by WWF Oasi and by the cooperatives of Oasi adhering to Legacoop, founded to defend biodiversity and the agrarian landscapes and to support the management of oases and preservation projects developed inside them through the direct sale of products. Passengers in transit were thus able to learn about the initiative at an exhibition of
oil, pasta, rice, spelt, tomatoes, wine, salt and organic honey from protected areas of the WWF oases.

The event is part of the Christmas initiatives that ADR implements every year to make passengers more comfortable at the airport during transit. Fiumicino is no longer considered just a place of transit, but has become an essential element in the travel experience.
