ADR: THAI AIRWAYS ENSURES DIRECT CONNECTIONS BETWEEN ROME AND BANGKOK
Thai renews its commitment at Rome’s Fiumicino airport

Fiumicino, 21 December 2015 - Aeroporti di Roma and Thai Airways communicate that the direct flight between the capitals of the respective countries will continue to be fly at its usual four scheduled times per week - Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Sunday - for the next year.

"Thai confirms the importance of the Rome Fiumicino airport by investing in the route through the use of a new Boeing 777-200ER aircraft," explained the new general manager for Italy, Thamanoon Kuprasert.

The new plane has 30 business class seats and 262 seats in economy class, where the space between the rows of chairs is 34'' (over 86 cm), among the widest among all carriers.

ADR was very happy about the carrier's renewed recognition of the centrality of the airport of Rome Fiumicino, not only in the capacity as an entrance to the city of Rome and to the country, but especially as a hub for southern Europe.

Aeroporti di Roma, a company of Gruppo Atlantia, manages the airports of Rome Fiumicino and Ciampino, and conducts other collateral activities for airport facility management. Fiumicino operates four passenger terminals. It is dedicated to business and leisure flights to and from national, international and intercontinental destinations; Ciampino is mainly dedicated to low-cost airlines, express couriers and General Aviation activities. In 2014, the ADR  airports system recorded around 44 million passengers, with over 230 destinations worldwide that can be reached from Rome thanks to the 100 airline companies operating from the two airports.
