Ciampino airport closed
Due to the remnants of war from WWII found during the maintenance works to the aircraft aprons, Ciampino Airport, following the instructions from the Italian Civil Aviation Authority (ENAC), has been temporarily closed to allow the bomb disposal teams to remove the objects safely.
At present, the intervention is expected to last three hours. Flights scheduled to arrive at or depart from Ciampino Airport during the closure time may be delayed or operate to/from Fiumicino Airport. Passengers are advised to contact their airline for further information about their flight. Additional updates will be provided in real time on the Aeroporti di Roma website, app and social media pages.
