Fiumicino 6 June 2023 - Leonardo da Vinci is adding another communication channel with 'OnAirport', a real radio studio at the airport. Thanks to the collaboration between Aeroporti di Roma and RTL 102.5, Italy's first radio station, the broadcasts of RTL 102.5's announcers and the young ADR communication staff. will begin today in Fiumicino's boarding area A. They will report live from the airport on life at Italy's most important airport, with the latest service and feature news. Every day there will be links in the programmes of RTL 102.5, Radio Zeta Generation Zeta - a reference point for young people - RTL 102.5 News.
Passengers passing through the new Terminal 1 Plaza will find a live radio station with spaces dedicated to news, services and the curiosities of the day, reported from the studios in Milan, Rome, Naples and, from today, Fiumicino airport. Much space will also be devoted to passengers from all over the world, who will become the protagonists of the radio television story.
From next September, the 'OnAirport' project will be expanded to become a real radio laboratory, involving young students from three prestigious Italian universities that host university radio stations: The Sapienza University of Rome, the Luiss Guido Carli University and the University of Teramo, which will allow them to live an important professional experience in the role of radio presenter on Italy's first radio television, in a unique and lively context such as the airport. This is the first initiative of its kind in Italy with a permanent radio station in an airport, which will thus become a testing ground for the professionals of tomorrow.
