FIUMICINO AND CIAMPINO AIRPORTS OBTAIN ACI'S PUBLIC HEALTH & SAFETY READINESS ACCREDITATION
New important international recognition for Aeroporti di Roma. Fiumicino and Ciampino airports are the first in the European Union and second in the World to have received the prestigious 'Public Health & Safety Readiness Accreditation' certification from Airports Council International (ACI), the independent association that surveys passenger satisfaction at over 350 airports worldwide, for proactive management of public health and safety. The certification, the result of a careful investigation, was also achieved thanks to compliance with the measures set out in the ACI Aviation Business Restart and Recovery guidelines and the recommendations of the ICAO Council Aviation Recovery Task Force.

In particular, the implementation of standard practices to ensure a safe airport experience for all travellers and the management company's level of responsiveness to implement best practices to manage possible public health and safety risk events were positively evaluated.

Aeroporti di Roma has set up a health and safety prevention programme since the beginning of the pandemic at the two airports in the capital, a commitment already attested to by countless awards, including ACI's Airport Health Accreditation for the measures implemented by ADR against Covid-19, the 5 stars awarded by Skytrax to Fiumicino following the Hygiene Rating audit, the first airport in the world to obtain them, and the Biosafety Trust awarded, for the first time to an airport, by RINA SERVICES.
