Airports: Rome Fiumicino confirmed among the World’s top 10 airports at the 2026 World Airport Awards
For the second consecutive year, Rome Fiumicino Airport has been confirmed among the world’s top ten airports, ranking 7th at the 2026 World Airport Awards - international accolades presented by Skytrax, the leading global air transport rating organization. The recognition is based on a survey measuring passenger satisfaction across more than 565 airports worldwide, involving travelers of over 100 nationalities.

Leonardo da Vinci Airport was also named Best Airport in Southern Europe. The award was announced in London during the Passenger Terminal Expo (PTE) World event. “Retaining the Best Airport in Southern Europe award highlights the high level of appreciation passengers have for Rome Fiumicino Airport. Positive responses across several key survey touchpoints demonstrates the quality of the journey delivered by ADR and supports its standing among the world’s leading airports” said Edward Plaisted, CEO of Skytrax.

According to the survey, passengers gave particularly high ratings to Fiumicino Airport’s retail and food & beverage offering, as well as to its security screening processes.
