Hainan Airlines Plans New Flight between Chongqing and Rome in April, 2015
Hainan Airlines will begin its Chongqing Rome service on April 27, 2015. Rome will become Hainan Airlines’ first destination in Italy and complements the airline's existing service between China and Berlin, Brussels, Paris, Moscow and St Petersburg.

The inauguration of this new link with Rome will be the first direct connection between China's southwestern area and Europe provided by a Chinese airline. It also brings with it new opportunities for the political, economic, cultural and other aspects of exchange between China and Italy.

The flight will operate from Chongqing to Rome every Monday and Friday using a brand new Airbus A330-200 with a spacious and comfortable passenger cabin layout accommodating 18 business class seats and 242 economy class seats. The business class seats can recline to a flat 180 degree position. Aircraft seat pitch is a generous 74 inches. Premium cabin seats come with a large high-definition LCD screen and adjustable reading light. Meal service is characterised by Chinese and Western delicacies and allow passengers to fully enjoy traveling in privacy and comfort. The entire cabin has a personal touch-screen LCD display television and entertainment system, with a widescreen LCD display, offering a wide range of entertainment options aloft.

Chongqing, the only municipality in central and western China with fully functional aviation, shipping, railways and port systems, is the financial, political, shipping, culture, science, technology, education, and communications center of the upper reaches of the Yangtze River. This outstanding geographical advantage and the exceptional capabilities offered by the infrastructure have accelerated the economic development of Chongqing city. In recent years, international investment, trade and tourism has seen a rapid expansion in this area, especially in the  outbound tourism market.

Hainan Airlines has been operating between Beijing and Berlin and Brussels for several years. The Rome service will expand Hainan Airlines' flight network in the European region and meets the demand by China's growing domestic market for long-distance international flights. Since 1993, Hainan Airlines has begun more than 600 domestic and international flight routes, serving close to 90 destinations. Flight services now cover Asia, Europe, the Americas, and Africa. Hainan Airlines welcomes customers and promises them an extremely pleasantexperience.
