Airline Traffic Development

The main target of the Airline Traffic Development Team is to stimulate and develop the growth of air traffic volume at Rome airport system by favouring and encouraging the start-up of new short, medium and long haul flights and the boosting capacity offered where rising demand for routes already served has been registered.

The Airline Traffic Development Team supports all Carriers, already operating on airports managed by ADR or interested in Rome as a new destination, through all the phases coming before and after the launch of new routes: from feasibility studies to start-up, followed by a constant route performance monitoring.

The Team is able to provide to all Airlines up-to-date market figures, key elements for understanding market sizes and their future potential. Besides the huge ADR database and the figures obtained from surveys carried out in different airport areas, the Team uses AirportIS as source of information, a software developed and certified by IATA, that includes and “calibrates” all worldwide Billing & Settlement Plan (BSP) and MIDT data of 30 CRSs by collecting statistics from the main on-line travel agencies and from the largest database belonging to civil aviation worldwide organization.

Moreover Aeroporti di Roma, in the context of its business relating to the management and development of the Roman Airport System, has adopted a transparent, fair and non-discriminatory incentives scheme, which aims to sustain the traffic growth at Rome Fiumicino Airport. For further information:
