Aeroporti di Roma SpA as managing company of the Rome airport system and in accordance with the provisions of art. 26 of Italian Legislative Decree 81/08 (Health and Safety in the Workplace) and of Ministerial Decree 10.03.98 (General Criteria for Fire Safety and Emergency Management in the Workplace) shall provide anyone operating in any role on the grounds of the Rome-Fiumicino and Rome-Ciampino airports with detailed information on the eventual specific risks connected with the environment they are operating in and the actions to be carried out in case of emergencies.
In addition, the airport authorities (ENAC) of the two airports, through the issuance of specific Orders authorizing the enforcement of the "Procedures for the management of emergencies in airports", obligate all the employers that operate on the premises of the above-mentioned airports to adhere to the provisions and prescriptions regarding the actions to be undertaken to deal with all kinds of emergencies.
These procedures are designed to ensure the safety of employees as well as that of any third parties who may find themselves on the premises for other reasons.
In order to comply with the above-mentioned legal obligations, ADR's "Health and Safety Prevention" function organizes informational meetings on the subject of "Managing emergencies in the airport environment (3 hours)" and specific courses for "Fire prevention personnel in activities at high risk of fire (16 hours)".
