ADR: Board approves Q1 report as at 31 March 2010

The Board of Directors of Aeroporti di Roma S.p.A., chaired by Fabrizio Palenzona, approved today ADR Group Q1 Report at 31 March 2010. The performance of the first quarter has been characterised by a substantial traffic growth while the first quarter of 2009 had been penalised by the start-up of the new Alitalia.

ADR: increasing passengers and punctuality

In 2010 air traffic in Rome airport system (Fiumicino and Ciampino) continues to grow, confirming the positive trend already observed in winter 2009. In the first three months of the year (1 January - 31 March), Rome airports recorded a 7.4% increase in passenger traffic against the same period of 2009. In particular, the non-EU International segment increased by 18.9% versus +8.1% of EU traffic volume and +0.2 of domestic traffic.

Madrid Barajas: investing to grow

Aena invests 6.2 billion Euro into the development of Madrid airport. The Spanish airport has been registering a significant surge in passenger traffic since 2000. Four Terminals and four runways, in addition to approximately 46 million passengers who travelled through the airport in 2006, are some of the most outstanding figures that describe the activity of Madrid-Barajas airport, both a Spanish air transport hub and an example of well planned infrastructure development.
