Nine days to visit and rediscover the sites of Italy¿s rich cultural heritage, from 18 to 26 April.
“Culture belongs to everybody, so join in!”This is the slogan chosen by the Ministry of National Heritage and Culture to open the 11th edition of The Week of Culture, Settimana della Cultura.Dedicated to the promotion of Italy’s cultural heritage, the nine-day event running from 18 to 26 April will enable local inhabitants and tourists to choose from a rich programme of as many as2,500 events. Exhibitions, conferences, workshops, guided tours, concerts, shows and films will be held across Italy during the week, while many museums, galleries and archaeological sites will have free or reduced admission or longer hours.Local bodies, institutions, associations, state and private foundations will work at the project, along with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, which cooperates with Italian cultural institutes operating abroad to advertise the week of culture at the international level.
The event is primarily intended to promote and disseminate culture, and foster interest and appreciation for art in a much larger audience.
Information literature advertising the week of culture and its numerous events will be circulated
at the Terminals and in the VIP lounges of Rome Fiumicino Leonardo da Vinci airport.
